She grabbed the unconscious body of Manoj and dragged him away from Rohan. Rohan tried to stop. But his strength was no match to her. She could pull thousand elephants with her strength.  "Please don't do this ! Don't kill my friend ! I did the wrong !", he pleaded with folded hands. Her expressions changed from fury to tender eyes. He was like her son. She always melted when he would plead like this. Suddenly she remembered his loyalty towards his friend. “Who are you? What do you want?”, he asked loudly in pain. Though his relationship with his friend soured, he still felt for his friend. His heart pained to see him suffer. Few minutes ago, he wanted to run away . But now looking at state of his friend changed everything. “Vengeance!”, the voice said. “Vengeance for everything I lost. Vengeance for the pain you caused. Vengeance for what you snatched from me.” the voice continued. Rohan looked around in confusion. Who was it? Why does it want vengeance? He tried to think about people whom he had cheated. His wide eyes grew wide when he realised who it was. “Aunty!”, he exclaimed softly. “You remembered at last! You have always been late bloomer. Remember how long it took you to memorise table 2 when you were young.”, the spirit  mocked him while it’s appearance became more visible slowly to human eye. The fight was intense between them. They attacked each other like angry dogs. They cursed each other. They barked at each other. They were bleeding and getting tired but their anger didn't die down. It increased. Suddenly a growling voice from nowhere stopped them. They looked around suspiciously. "What was that?", Rohan asked softly. "It's that ghost! I told you we should have left", his friend said in frightened tone. Rohan loosened his grip on his friend and turned around to see where the voice was coming. It was roaring and furious. Manoj tried to remember if there was any back door to get out of the house. It was no use asking Rohan. He remembered seeing one in the kitchen. But that door led to outdoor laundry area which had limited access to outside world due to it's huge wired fence. He could climb it. There was less time. He had lost lot of time fighting with Rohan. He had to do it now. He checked for Rohan in corner of his eyes. Rohan wa...

Rohan followed his friend towards the main door. When his friend opened the door, he was pushed by a force invisible to them. He fell on Rohan with his back crushing on him. Manoj got up immediately with his hand on his injured back. He looked around. There was no one except his friend Rohan who was getting up slowly due to pain on his abdomen caused by the impact of their fall. "What was that ?", Rohan exclaimed. "I don't know. I felt as if someone pushed me.", his friend replied. Rohan didn't believe him. His words were like a stamp paper to him until now. One lie could tear even a strongest bond apart. "Another lie!", he whispered. Manoj looked at him suspiciously and asked, "What?" Rohan replied, "Nothing!"  "I know he just pretended that someone pushed.", he thought. "Is there back door?", Manoj asked cautiously, looking around for the spirit. Rohan stared at him in confusion. "Why do you...

Rohan bought another glass of water from the kitchen. He bent down to Manoj and sprinkled some drops of water on his face. Manoj woke up immediately, shaking tiredness off from his face. Rohan helped him to sitting position. He asked him whether he was okay or not. Manoj nodded his head though he was still in pain. “Do you remember how you came here?”, his friend asked out of concern. “No! I don’t. I only remember closing my eyes in my room. “, Manoj replied , thinking how he came here. Something struck him. His eyes grew wide. “ I know who it is. I know who bought me here. I think it’s that ghost.”, he said in frightened tone. Rohan stared at him in disbelief. He got up and turned his back towards him. “I don’t believe you. No one will believe you. You are just making up a story. You are an expert in fooling people with your stories. You have fooled Roger and got him killed. You have fooled Rohan but you can’t fool me!”, Rohan said firmly. Manoj stared at him in confusion. Mano...

He thought deeply about possibilities where Manoj could be. He found no answer. It struck him that he didn't know his friend very well.  They shared a strong bond over few years and it was strange that his friend didn't share him about his whereabouts.  Suddenly he remembered the bungalow. He hadn't visited the place after the recent murder. He wondered how the place would be. It would be stinking of blood. He had to burn the bodies or else the smell could reach the passerbys. Fortunately there were no neighbours around or else he would have be in a mess by now. He planned to visit the house in the evening.  Manoj opened his eyes to pitch darkness. He couldn't understand where he was. His head was hurting badly. He felt some droplets of liquid dripping from his head. He assumed it to be liquid. He tried to get up. But he couldn't. He felt heavy weight of something over his body.  Suddenly he heard a noise of the door opening. He tried to see who it was...
