Flight EK 666 - Part 10

One of the cabin crew member named Rosie arrived immediately. She asked Tina if she could provide any assistance. "I would like to know why the plane hasn't landed. It's already past the landing time.", Tina inquired. Rosie stared at her with poker face. She replied after few minutes. "Ma'am, I think you are mistaken. We still have time. When we land, we will let you know through an announcement." Tina was slightly annoyed by her answer. She asked her again, " But it's already 4 am on my watch. The plane should definitely land now." Rosie was about to say something when Tom intervened, "It's not yet time. It's still 2: 45 am in my watch." Tina stared at both of them with embarrassment. "Maybe my watch is ticking faster.", she joked with nervous smile. Tom laughed while Rosie smiled. "Do you need anything else, Ma'am?", Rosie asked and quickly left when she got no answer from Tina. "How is

Flight EK 666 - Part 9

The whole aircraft looked empty. She thought she was hallucinating again. This was just a nightmare. She knew that when she would open her eyes, everything would be normal. She was angry at her brother. If he hadn't shared the story, she wouldn't be dreaming like this. She sat down on her seat. She sighed deeply. As she closed her eyes, she felt something shake on tray opened in front of her. She opened her eyes immediately. A meal container was on the tray with seal that was previously opened. The meal container shook rapidly. She was curious but scared. Nevertheless, she opened the tray to see what was inside it. She slowly removed the seal. Her heat was beating rapidly. She whispered, "No more surprises, God!"  She gulped. She screamed when she saw what it was. The dish was filled with worms. It was same worms that she has seen in her vomit. They were crawling and trying to get out of the container. It was dream. She immediately opened her eyes. Everything s

As soon the stewardess shifted her attention to next passenger , Tina quickly tore open the seal of our meal dish. She was very hungry. The food looked scrumptious. There was fruit salad, Rajma and rice for main course and pudding. The smell was inviting. She tore the plastic containing plastic spoon, knife and tissues.  She had few pieces of sweet melon and spoons of rajma rice. Suddenly her stomach revolted. She opened the sealed water and took large gulp of water. She felt nausea. She held her stomach and bend her head down. It didn't reduce. Tom got concerned , watching her. "What happened? You don't look fine.", he asked softly. She looked at him with pained eyes. "I don't know. My stomach is hurting suddenly. I am feeling puckish.", she replied in pain. He got up and said, "Why don't you go to washroom? You will feel better." She rushed towards the washroom. Fortunately, there was no one. Everyone was busy having food.

It was one sided chat. It was mostly her who spoke while he listened to her intently. She spoke about her family - her mother and brother, apple of her eyes. She spoke about her work and project. When she had nothing to say, she said casually, "My friends complain that I talk too much. Tell me something about yourself.". He looked at her with blank eyes. It was like as someone held his tongue. Tina felt he wasn't interested in sharing his story. So she shifted her gaze towards the window. The sky was pitch black with few passing clouds. There was no beginning or end. It looked like as if the earth had no land and was covered by sky. Her mind was immersed into the depth of blank sky. A voice woke her up to the reality. "I am sorry. I don't have a cheerful family like you. I lost my parents early during my childhood. I have good life but my soul still wanders in search of belongingness.". She stared at his empty eyes which was now filled with pain. She

She was about to narrate the story her brother had penned recently. The flights attendant arrived from nowhere. She seemed concerned. “I heard you scream, Ma’am. Do you need something? Are you fine?”, she asked politely. “She’s absolutely fine now. Thank you.”, Tom replied instantly.  Tina smiled at her. The flight attendant smiled back and left.  “You can continue.”, he asked her to continue. “ A girl boards EK 666 on eerie midnight. The night is thunderous.”, she started with the story but was interrupted by an announcement from the pilot.  The seat belt sign  was switched on. “Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has switched on seat belt sign. We are now crossing the zone of turbulence. We request all passengers to return to their seat and fasten their seat belts. Thank you!”, the chief flight attendant spoke on the speaker. Everyone fastened their seat belts. “This is nice. You have effect on the weather.”, Tom joked. She smiled , hiding her embarrassment. She was about to conti

He looked concerned. The pain was gone. She felt normal. She could hear everything properly. She smiled and declined politely, "No, Thanks!" He quickly resumed back to his business. She took a deep breath and stared blankly at the small monitor in front of her. She looked at magazines stacked inside the seat pouch. She grabbed one of them. When she opened one of the pages, it was covered with blood stains. She got spooked and threw it immediately on her co passenger's lap. He got distracted by her action. "Any problem?", he asked. "I am sorry. I think I saw blood in that magazine.", she replied embarrassed as she took the magazine from his lap. He didn't look convinced. She opened it again to show him. But there were no blood stains and the pages looked clean. She was surprised. She looked at him. He grinned at her and got back to reading. She whispered sorry. "I need sleep. I must stop listening to my brother's ghost stories.", sh

Strong smell of rotten meat woke her up. She had almost puked on the seat. She turned around to see where it was coming. A handsome man of mid thirties was keeping his bag on overhead rack. The smell disappeared suddenly. She stared at him delightfully. He looked at her at the same time. He closed the rack and took his seat next to her. He shifted his gaze to seat pouch ahead of him and took out one of magazines inside the pouch. She watched him intently with a smile. She hadn't seen any so attractive. She realized that she had been staring at him too long and turned towards the window. She watched outside. The sky was clear. There were other planes that were either parking or departing to particular destination. She turned again to see her co- passenger was busy reading the magazine. She sat silently for few minutes. She pressed the button on the side of arm rest to recline the seat. She closed her eyes for sometime. She was in deep sleep. The plane was in taxi mode. Safety i

Her brother started with his story. Tina rolled her eyes in boredom. "So a girl boards a flight EK 666 on eerie midnight. It is thunderous night.", he narrated. But she interrupted, "What EK 666 ? Didn't you get any other flight number for your story. This is ridiculous! Why would anyone fly a plane on thunderous night?" "Why do you have to narrate a ghost story which has her flight number?", their mother scolded him. "Why wouldn't they fly a flight during turbulence ?", he argued. "But why are you using the flight that I am flying ?", she protested. Their mother twisted one of his ears. He squealed in pain. "Fine! I will change the number." , he said disapprovingly. Tina smiled and said, "Ok! Continue your story." He continued with the story. " The girl has no idea that flight is not a real flight. It is haunted by souls of dead passenger. She is one of dead.", he narrated. She interrupted him
