Flight EK 666 - Part 5

He looked concerned. The pain was gone. She felt normal. She could hear everything properly. She smiled and declined politely, "No, Thanks!" He quickly resumed back to his business. She took a deep breath and stared blankly at the small monitor in front of her. She looked at magazines stacked inside the seat pouch. She grabbed one of them. When she opened one of the pages, it was covered with blood stains. She got spooked and threw it immediately on her co passenger's lap.

He got distracted by her action. "Any problem?", he asked. "I am sorry. I think I saw blood in that magazine.", she replied embarrassed as she took the magazine from his lap. He didn't look convinced. She opened it again to show him. But there were no blood stains and the pages looked clean. She was surprised. She looked at him. He grinned at her and got back to reading. She whispered sorry. "I need sleep. I must stop listening to my brother's ghost stories.", she thought.

She closed her eyes and reclined her seat little bit. She had almost traveled to dreamland when she suddenly got back to reality. The screw of her seat recliner broke and her head fell on the lap of passenger seated behind. She opened her eyes. She was awestruck by the appearance of the passanger she had fallen on. He looked disgusting. His eyes were popping out. His skin was pale and degrading. He looked dead to her.

She woke up , screaming out of her lungs. "What happened ?", her concerned co passenger sitting beside her asked. She checked her seat. It was normal. She was not lying on the dead man's lap. She quickly turned behind to confirm whether there was a dead man sitting behind her. The dead man wasn't present but a startled man was sitting in place of him. His eyes were wide open. "I am sorry.", she apologized and turned back to see her co passenger was patiently waiting for her reply.

She rubbed her eyes gently. "I had a bad dream. I really need to stop listening to my brother's stories.", she said candidly. A light smile was pasted on her lips. He smiled. "It's fine. It happens to all the first time flyers.", he said. She was startled by his observation. "No, I am not first time flyer. I fly frequently. But this is first time I am spooked by my brother's story.", she said.

He laughed. "I find this amusing!", he joked. "I know it might sound funny. But I am serious. I usually don't get scared of horror movies or stories. This is the first time I got really scared.", she said. "If my brother ever got to know about this, he would be on cloud nine.", she thought and smiled. "By the way, I am Tina.", she introduced herself. "Pleased to meet you. I am Tom.", he said in thick British accent while offering his hand for shake. She was amazed by his manner. She shook his hand and smiled. "I would be glad if you shared your brother's story.", he said with curiosity sparkling in his eyes.
