The Bungalow Number - 420 Part 17

The fight was intense between them. They attacked each other like angry dogs. They cursed each other. They barked at each other. They were bleeding and getting tired but their anger didn't die down. It increased. Suddenly a growling voice from nowhere stopped them. They looked around suspiciously.

"What was that?", Rohan asked softly. "It's that ghost! I told you we should have left", his friend said in frightened tone. Rohan loosened his grip on his friend and turned around to see where the voice was coming. It was roaring and furious. Manoj tried to remember if there was any back door to get out of the house. It was no use asking Rohan.

He remembered seeing one in the kitchen. But that door led to outdoor laundry area which had limited access to outside world due to it's huge wired fence. He could climb it. There was less time. He had lost lot of time fighting with Rohan. He had to do it now. He checked for Rohan in corner of his eyes. Rohan was busy searching the source of that eerie sound.

Manoj took that as opportunity and was about to dash toward the kitchen. Unfortunately a force pulled him back and threw him at center of the room. He looked around with frightened eyes. He was shivering uncontrollably and whimpering in pain. Rohan stared at him in shock. "What was that!" he asked.

Suddenly Manoj felt something grab him by his neck and pull him up. Rohan watched his friend hanging helplessly in the air. He had no voice to speak out. He was scared out of his wits. He knew he couldn't help his friend. His friend was right. The house was haunted. He had to escape before the evil ghost attacked him. He turned to escape.

"Where are you running?", a voice growled. It was scary and made Rohan almost pee in his pants. "Don't you want to see you friend perish in pain?", it continued. Rohan turned back to watch his friend coughing blood continuously. His mouth was covered in blood. Rohan's stomach turned upside down in disgust. Suddenly skin of his friend turned blue. He fell down just like that. Rohan rushed towards his friend. He held his wrist to check the pulse. There was pulse. His friend was alive.
