The Love Song - Part 2
She was immersed in pain. Her eyes were still closed. She almost forgot that there was a storm coming up and she had to reach grandma's place on time. Suddenly she heard someone banging on her window. She immediately opened her eyes and saw a teenage boy who was few years younger than her knock the door. She was miffed and rolled the windows down. "What is it?", she snapped.
"You forgot your purse, miss.", he said coolly. She was startled. "What purse? I have mine with me.", she said. "But this has your picture inside.", he said, showing her the purse. She shuddered in fear when she saw the purse. It was a gift she had thrown out with other memories when she had broken up with her ex. "What was it doing here?", she wondered. She grabbed it from his hand and whispered thanks. The boy stared at her with annoyance and left.
She looked at the purse in disgust and threw it out from the car. She drove as fast as she could from the parking area to the highway. She switched on the radio and turned the volume to full. An hour passed and her pain eased down. She felt relaxed again. Later she reduced the volume to focus her mind on the road.
She had few more hours to reach her destination. Everything seemed fine. The sky was turning cloudy. The weather was getting colder and storm was getting ready to hit the coast. However she didn't seem to worry as she knew she would reach the destination on time.
Suddenly the volume of radio increased, distracting her focus out from the road. She almost lost the control of her car. Her car moved little towards the opposite road. She stopped to calm down. Her heart was beating hard. Luckily there were no cars other side. She turned off the radio. She got back to the right direction.
As she continued to drive, the radio switched on unexpectedly. She panicked. She tried to turn it off. It was stuck. She convinced herself that it was glitch. She checked her window. The clouds were turning darker. She had to reach on time. She left the radio and concentrated on driving. She planned to fix it later.
